NSCS E-Blast 01-21-20
Last week, we mentioned wanting to have an elevator speech for our upcoming concert. An elevator speech is a talk you have ready to go whenever you have an opportunity to tell someone about our concert. Here is a sample. It takes about one minute to do. You should feel free to use whatever superlatives that are comfortable to you, and personalize it as you need.
Your "Elevator Speech"
My community choir – North Shore Choral Society - has a unique concert coming up on Feb. 29 celebrating women in musical leadership. It’s called “What Happens When She Sets the Beat?” It’s entirely music by women composers and is directed by a diverse group of female conductors (three guest conductors and our own Julia Davids. You’ll hear a whole range of musical styles from traditional to contemporary, and each of our conductors selected pieces that have a special significance for her. Plus, you will get to hear from the Artemisia Trio, a really dynamic group of singers, and we’ll all be doing a song they wrote just for this concert. Altogether, it’s going to be an exciting and uplifting evening. There’s even a pre-concert talk, so you can hear directly from some of the conductors and composers themselves about their experiences and hopes. You’ll want to get tickets right away because we’re expecting a full house! If you go to northshorechoral.org you’ll see how to order by phone or online.
What Else Can You Do to Get Info on Our Concert Out There? - Email your friends, family, and contacts!
Momentarily, you will receive another E-Blast with more formal text for an email you can send to everyone you know who should come to the concert. If you want to, you can edit it and mix it up, add your own style, or snippets from the elevator talk. However, you can also just forward it on exactly as it is!! It's a mini marketing piece ready for prime time - have fun getting the word out!
